Detection Principle

This product employs rapid immunochromatographic technology for the detection of Brucella antibodies. After adding the diluted sample into the sample addition port on the test strip card, if Brucella antibodies are present in the sample, these antibodies will specifically bind to the colloidal gold-labeled Brucella LPS antigen, forming a complex that migrates along the chromatographic membrane and is captured by the pre-coated protein on the membrane, thereby producing a wine-red test line at the T (test) position on the card. If no Brucella antibodies are present in the sample, no visible line will appear at the T position. In addition, this system is equipped with a C (control) line designed to verify the validity of the assay. Regardless of whether the result is negative or positive, this C line should always develop a color; otherwise, the result is considered invalid.

For rapid screening of brucellosis antibodies in samples.

Preservation and Stability

1. The product should be stored in a dry place at a temperature between 2℃ and 30℃; do not store it in the freezer.

2. Avoid direct sunlight.

3. Valid for 24 months from the date of manufacture.

Sample Requirements

This test card is intended solely for the detection of bovine and ovine serum, whole blood, and milk samples.

1. Serum: Collect 2–3 ml of blood using standard procedures and place it into a dry centrifuge tube. Allow the blood to clot undisturbed for about 1 hour, then centrifuge at 4,000 rpm for 10 minutes (alternatively, the blood can be left undisturbed for 2 hours until it clots naturally and serum spontaneously separates). After centrifugation, carefully separate the serum. Take 20 μL of the serum sample and add it to a dilution tube, mix thoroughly, and set aside for use. The serum must be clear, free from hemolysis and contamination. Short-term storage of serum samples is possible at 2–8℃; for long-term storage, keep them at -20℃.

2. Milk sample: Directly pipette 20 μL of the sample into the diluent tube and mix thoroughly for later use.

Test steps

1. Bring the unopened test strips and samples to room temperature (20℃~25℃).

2. Place the test strip horizontally, use a pipette to draw up the sample, and carefully drop 3 drops (1 drop per second) vertically onto the sample addition port. If no liquid migration is observed in the test window within 30 seconds, add an additional 1 drop of the sample.

3. Results are judged within 5 minutes; results become invalid after 10 minutes.

Result determination

Negative: In the observation window, only one purplish-red line appears in the control line region (C).

Positive: In the observation window, both the test line region (T) and the control line region (C) show purplish-red lines simultaneously. The higher the antibody titer, the darker the color of the test line (T).

Invalid: No purplish-red line appears in the control line region (C) within the observation window.
